We frequently fail to express our true feelings to those closest to us, realizing their meaning only after time has passed. Seok-tae’s memories of his mother are not simple recollections, but traces of the unspoken love that many of us carry in our hearts. By showing how people face the truth of a relationship only after loss, I hoped this story would encourage viewers to look again at their own families—before it is too late.

With an oldold camera and a notebook, the journey is more than just a trip down memory lane. The notebook contains entries from May 1980Gwangju in May 1980.As Min-seo walks with Eun-ji in front of the government office, she has a sudden headache and a vision of being sucked back into the past.the past. In it, she sees Gwangju trampled by the boots of martial law soldiers, a young mother with a camera, and victims filling the hospital emergency room. Her mother is thewas a photojournalist documenting the devastation of that day.As Min-seo follows the scenes from the past, she witnesses her mother's final moments.
